We are a verified member of the Origin Green sustainability programme since January 2018. Origin Green is the only sustainability programme in the world that operates on a national scale, uniting government, the private sector and food producers through Bord Bia. We strive to be as sustainable and as environmentally friendly as possible throughout all parts of our business.

We must all act together to tackle major environmental issues and here at RibWorld, we are taking several steps to play our part. These include changes in our raw material sourcing, improving our manufacturing process and further enhancing our sustainability.

We have chosen a raw material sourcing goal because we believe that quality and sustainable sourcing is vital in ensuring goods are produced and purchased in a manner that demonstrates respect for the people who produce them as well as for the environment.

We are also taking steps to ensure we are reducing the impact our manufacturing process has on the environment by reducing waste, electricity usage and water usage.

Regarding our social sustainability commitments, we are going to increase donations to Local Charities and clubs, we will enhance biodiversity around our site through the provision of extra trees and foliage and further promote employee health and nutrition.

• Strive to continually improve our environmental performance and minimise the social impact and damage of activities by periodically reviewing our environmental policy in light of our current and planned future activities.
